about 5 years ago – Tue, Feb 19, 2019 at 11:47:47 PM

Dear Backers,

YES! USPS IS ALREADY ON ITS WAY!

So finally USPS came for the orders!
Every time they showed up, they had small cars or SUVS, until today they showed up with this little truck.

Still, we have more to ship, but at least 200 backers are going to receive their coffee in the next 2 days.

We have been working for the past week, just packing and labeling, and we are about 60% done with all of the orders.

Check this out!

Product Ready To Pack and Ship - Final Notice!
about 5 years ago – Fri, Feb 08, 2019 at 12:34:12 AM

Dear Santo Backer:

Finally!! We are Ready to Ship!

⚠️ YES!! Santo Coffee Cubes was released from FDA and Customs inspection and its now ready to start packing and shipping to all of our Backers!

Thanks for your patience, this has been a big challenge for us, and we think we made it in short period of time compared to other Kickstarter projects or any other startup business.

ALSO THIS IS THE FINAL NOTICE TO CHANGE ADDRESS IF YOU NEED TO.

⚠️ ATTENTION: We sent an email for your to update your shipping address if you need to, THIS IS THE LAST CHANCE, we unlocked the addresses in our orders for 24 hours, so please if you need to make any changes, look for an email from Backer Kit Santo Coffee Cubes, just like the one for your survey and you are going to be able to change it real quick.

We did this because we received emails of people that moved since they ordered and people that wanted their coffee cues delivered to a different address. Remember it's the last time for you to make changes in the shipping address.

Be prepared to receive your coffee cubes very soon, we are only left with packing and shipping. We would love to hear from you as soon as you receive the product and taste it. Remember, try not to judge delays, shipping, manufacturing time, etc., but do give us your honest opinion about the flavor, convenience, presentation, aroma, and all of that sweet stuff that makes the cubes.  We will send surveys to your email after shipping, so watch for those !

Remember, currently, our website says the cubes are “sold out” because all of the cubes we have manufactured as of right now have been pre-ordered and spoken for by you, our backers. More stock will be coming in next week as well and the website will be ready pretty soon (6 days) so you can re-order your coffee cubes, and we’re looking at the possibility of a subscription service for recurrent delivery to your door so you have your coffee every day at your place.

Thanks for believing in our project and making our dream come true.

Sincerely,

Ian Bernal and the Santo Coffee Cubes Team

PS: Holiday Flavors will be shipped last, since it took a little bit longer to manufacture and packaging is different. It will ship about 3 or 4 days after the regular flavor orders.

Finally we have the product in town - We ready to start shipping!
about 5 years ago – Sat, Feb 02, 2019 at 11:06:36 PM

Dear Backers!

Finally!! We have our product in ORLANDO! We’re shipping next week!

Boxes and boxes of cubes arrived in the US on the 29th and 30th of January. It has already undergone FDA inspection and will be ready to ship within the next few days. We estimate if everything goes well as planned, shipping will be next week, Tuesday or Wednesday.

Here are some pictures of the merchandise at MCO airport, sent from the capital of Colombia since our manufacturing headquarters are in Colombia still. Hopefully we can bring that to the States soon.

Yeah, I know its a lot right? More than 240 master boxes were manufactured. Also, we know we mentioned that we were going to ship around the 31st of January, and that was what we planned for, but the FDA and airport customs took longer than usual to inspect the product completely.

We are a very small company. Our employees (writers, marketing staff, social media peeps, and founders) are scattered around the US and South America, so not everyone is local to Orlando, which means not everyone’s hands can work on this shopping project here. We did not anticipate certain freight company and import procedures because of the large quantity of product brought over this time. Also, the budget has been limited since we didn't consider many fees, labor, and transportation.

It’s not easy to start a new business and we actually will not make any profit out of this first batch, but certainly we are grateful for what we have learned. Launching on Kickstarter gave our company tremendous exposure, and with our media connections and  a list of clients and people interested in the product, we are looking at the future with optimism.  Of greatest importance,  we can strongly believe now that we are capable of developing an excellent consumable product that people love.

Be prepared to receive your coffee cubes very soon.

More stock will be coming in next week as well and the website will be ready pretty soon (7 days) so you can re-order your coffee cubes, and we’re looking at the possibility of a subscription service for recurrent delivery to your door so you have your coffee every day at your place.

Thanks for believing in our project and making our dream come true.

Sincerely,

Ian Bernal and the Santo Coffee Cubes Team

Finally Production has finished - Shipping 31st of January!
over 5 years ago – Mon, Jan 21, 2019 at 01:04:39 AM

Hey Backers!

How are you? Hope this 2019 year is going well for everyone.

As you all know, we have been working hard to get the Coffee Cubes manufactured and the whole business started for the past month and a half.

Today we are glad to announce, after all the tough challenges we went through, that Santo Coffee Cubes are going to start shipping on the 31st of January, next week. (If everything goes as planned.)

We have received shipments for the merchandise (hoodies, mugs, tumblers, etc), as well as the printed material like thank you cards, boxes, and packing for the Coffee Cubes. The Coffee Cubes are being shipped from Colombia right now. As we mentioned before, our product comes directly from the mountains of Colombia to the US, and we have never had a shipment made in this large of a quantity.

It will be a whole new experience to receive our product for the first time as a bulk order, and we have had a lot of learning to do for our new business.

Here are some pictures we want to share with you for now. We know you will enjoy your coffee when it gets here.

Also, we wanted to mention that our Santo Coffee Cubes website is being renewed and rebuilt right now, so after our Kickstarter orders are fulfilled, anyone will be able to order from us directly on our website. We will maintain low prices for all of our Kickstarter and Indiegogo backers for now before we mark the product up for retail.

Currently, our website says the cubes are “sold out” because all of the cubes we have manufactured as of right now have been pre-ordered and spoken for by you, our backers. (We are still figuring out what our final retail pricing will be since we know now the costs of importing, boxing, fulfilling, storage, office, customs, labor, etc were a bit higher that we expected.)

Thanks for believing in our project and making our dream come true.

Sincerely,

Ian Bernal and the Santo Coffee Cubes Team

Happy New Year - Shipping coming soon!
over 5 years ago – Fri, Jan 04, 2019 at 11:02:22 PM

Dear Backers!

Happy New Year 2019! Hope everyone had a great holiday season with family and loved ones.

First of all, as always, thank you for being part of this project and helping us get Santo Coffee Cubes started and introduced into the market. This dream is becoming a reality thanks to your support and patience.

With that being said, we also need to apologize for not communicating better over the last several months. A number of situations came up, including personal medical problems, some disgruntled workers spreading rumors, and other things. We know we did not keep our backers as informed as we should have, and we are sorry about that. Although we have been silent, Santo Coffee Cubes has still been moving and working to fulfill all of the pre-orders from our backers.

As of today, the production is about 98% finished! It hasn't been an easy task! Things were going smoothly when we started production back in November, but December hit and we rushed to try to fulfill orders before Christmas. Our Coffee Cube machine broke down, and as we had custom made it for just our company, parts were hard to come by. Our manufacturers and us created a machine that could press the Coffee Cubes with the panela and organic ingredients with the perfect humidity and strength to make them dissolvable. Having our own made machine is good, but its also bad because when it breaks down, we have to find an engineer that can build the pieces that broke down for us, and it usually takes some time. Since our machine broke during the holiday season (December), it was almost impossible to get people who could work on something like this.

It was a really stressful moment, but the good thing is that our machine is now fixed and we are up and running with the production almost finished. We are expecting to finish the cubes and start packaging in fewer than 8 days. If everything goes as smoothly as we expect, we can ship mid January.

If you are a new backer, this probably sounds weird or delayed, but Kickstarter projects are like this. They usually take a little bit longer than expected to deliver, since getting a whole new business started is a tedious task and requires many things in place to completely function.

We want to thank all of our backers again. We really appreciate your patience in this journey. We are doing our best to fulfill our pre-orders with our best product.

Thanks again,

Santo Coffee Cubes Team
